Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, you will be able to:
- Describe the foundational ideas and principles of an AIMS aligned with ISO/IEC 42001
- Interpret the ISO/IEC 42001 criteria for AIMS from the perspective of an implementer
- Initiate and plan the implementation of an AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001 by utilizing PECB’s IMS2 Methodology and other best practices
- Support an organization in operating, maintaining, and continually improving an AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
- Prepare an organization to undergo a third party certification audit
Course Structure
Day 1: Overview of ISO/IEC 42001 and starting the AIMS rollout
Day 2: Strategic planning for AIMS deployment
Day 3: Executing the AIMS implementation
Day 4: AIMS monitoring, ongoing improvement, and preparation for the certification audit
Day 5: Certification examination

Assessment
The “PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer” exam satisfies all PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) standards. It encompasses the following competency areas:
Area 1: Core principles and concepts of an artificial intelligence management system (AIMS)
Area 2: Requirements for artificial intelligence management systems
Area 3: Planning an AIMS implementation in line with ISO/IEC 42001
Area 4: Deploying an AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
Area 5: Monitoring and measuring an AIMS aligned with ISO/IEC 42001
Area 6: Continuous improvement and preparation for AIMS certification audits
Certification Options and Criteria
Following the examination, you may apply for one of the following credentials based on your professional background and project participation. Certification is granted once all requirements for the chosen level are met, including adherence to the PECB Code of Ethics.
1. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Provisional Implementer

2. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Implementer

Exam Requirement: PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam or equivalent

Professional Experience: Two years of total experience, including at least one year focused on artificial intelligence

AIMS Project Experience: A minimum of 200 hours of project work

Other Requirements: Acceptance of the PECB Code of Ethics
3. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer

Exam Requirement: PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam or equivalent

Professional Experience: Five years of total experience, with at least two years dedicated to artificial intelligence

AIMS Project Experience: A minimum of 300 hours of project work

4. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Senior Lead Implementer

Exam Requirement: PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam or equivalent

Professional Experience: Ten years of total experience, with at least seven years focused on artificial intelligence

AIMS Project Experience: A minimum of 1,000 hours of project work

General Information
- Both certification and examination fees are covered by the course fee.
- Participants are provided with comprehensive course materials exceeding 400 pages, featuring practical case studies, exercises, and quizzes.
- An certificate of completion recognizing 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be awarded to all participants who attend the course.
- Candidates who have completed the training but did not pass the exam are entitled to one complimentary retake within 12 months of their initial exam attempt.
