Superset Data Visualization and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A prominent financial services company aimed to transition from an industry-leading BI solution within one of their primary products to an Open Source system (Superset) in order to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Following this, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture to meet the reporting needs of each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended specific modifications to the data stores to optimize the use of Superset and ensure peak performance, while providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began constructing and deploying a diverse range of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To fulfill specific data presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data display options (such as drill-down features).
Outcome The consultants have developed new dashboards while ensuring that adequate knowledge is transferred within the customer's organization to maintain the dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has been positively received by both the client's business and their end users. Highlighting the project's success, its scope has been expanded and extended to include additional products and end users.
