Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution within one of its key products, opting instead for an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings on license costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to fully understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this assessment, we created a comprehensive Statement of Work to help guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant suggested modifications to the data stores to enable optimal use of Superset while ensuring peak performance, and provided guidance to the team implementing these changes. Following the optimization of the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying various reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were created to enable more interactive data presentation (including drill-down features, etc.).
Outcome The consultants have been building new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer's organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business and their end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded and extended to include more products and end clients.
